Red Sea sent this to me when I posed a similar question:
Can anyone help? I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be this way or not, but I got a reefer deluxe and when I go to mount the lights there’s SO much room between the bracket and the tank. It’s very loose. I can’t imagine that’s how it’s supposed to be? Anyone else find this?
Where are the screws for the brackets? There are 2 for each bracket. They screw in from the back and push the light arm against the tank
I just finished building the base for Reefer 750 as well. I'm waiting for help to move the tank downstairs. So I just got my Reefer 750. I just finished building the cabinet and put the tank on it. I’m I wrong to be worried if that cabinet will hold all the weight. I am very nervous about adding water and everything else to the tank. I feel like I forgot to put something inside the cabinet.
Hello fellow Red Sea Reefers! I'm upgrading from a RSR Nano to RSR 170. I know..not much of an upgrade but I live in an apartment and the extra real estate will help buy me another year of coral growth and 6" of extra swimming room for my favorite fish friends. Quick question for those who already have a 170: do you think this custom sump would work? Crystal Reef Aquatics RSR 250 Triton Reef Sump
The dimensions are: 19 3/8 x 16.5 x 16
While the 170 tank dimensions are 24.5 x 20 x 20, I'm sure the interior of the stand is smaller due to the stand itself as well as the door hinges. Does anyone know whether this custom sump would fit? It would be much appreciated if someone could measure for me
What do you think about the sturdiness of the cabinet?I just finished building the base for Reefer 750 as well. I'm waiting for help to move the tank downstairs.
I assume it must be adequate since I've not heard of any issues, however outside of that knowledge I have some concern. I'd prefer the joints to lock together with a snap or something so I know they are truly joined together. I built my own kitchen cabinets and screwed and glued most panels together and used dovetail joints for the drawers etc. This aquarium stand is much less sturdy by design it would seem. What do you think about the sturdiness of the cabinet?
Yep mine is the same way.Is this ok positioning for my tank? I was looking at it today thinking it’s weird that the front glass is hanging off the support area of the stand, it is supposed to be lined up flush with the doors right?
I have the Red Sea 750 as well and can safely say that the cabinet is more than capable of handling the weight. Its extremely strong. What do you think about the sturdiness of the cabinet?
I was wondering for everyone that has a 750 what Skimmer do yall use and how long have you had it?
Getting ready to install my tunze 3155 ato on my reefer 250. I posted earlier that my stock ato isn’t keeping up and I’m getting air bubbles in the return after about two days. Where is everyone running their sensors on the reefers? My plan is to put the pump in the ro res. And my sensors on the wall between the inflow of the sump and the return chamber (sensor on return chamber side). Is there a better way? I have an apex for what it’s worth as well.
