Here's the Clarisea SK-3000 in my Reefer 250 v3 sump. My build thread has a walk through on how to mod the sump to fit the Clarisea in. Works perfectly.

I really like that internal cabinet you made. I'm not sure I could house all of my cords in it but that's a really good idea.

This is my Reefer 170 with an Artfully Acrylic top. I love how clean and low profile it is. Definitely worth the money. I also use a LeRusso Kessil mount for my A360 from California Reef Co. I mounted it to the back of the cabinet so I didn't have to cut the overflow lid. I'm also running Marine Pure Spheres in the return section of my sump. Dumped in the 2 quart box.

Curiously, your afs, did you just double side tape that to your overflow cover?

1. Does it clear the clearview acrylic lid to drop food?

2. Any issues with it wobbling or falling over if the double side tape isn't strong enough or weakened by salt creep?

I built an acrylic cover for the overflow that cuts the noise back quite a bit. It would cost you less than $5 and your time. Pretty easy to make.

Is there a way to grow chaeto without a reactor in the compartment before the skimmer? I’d like to have some kind of refugium but budget might be tight for a while and I don’t want to drill/add plumbing.

Depends which version of the sump you have. This will fit version 1 -

Does anyone know the size of the emergency drain downpipe in the overflow box of the Reefer 250? I think I have version 1 or 2 but definitely not 3 if it matters. I know the size is metric in mm's.

Recently setup a reefer 300 xl. Upgraded from a Nuvo 14g.

pretty basic setup, running two radion g4 pros with a white ati hybrid fixture.
Filtration is filter socks and refugium. No skimmer as of yet.

Also, I only use gate valve on the return pipe to clarisea. Do I need one or is there benefit to have one on the return pump pipe?

Agreed. I wouldn't want to run the skimmer in this section due to water level fluxtuation. You really want your skimmer in the skimmer chamber.

If you're using a variable speed return pump you don't need a gate valve on the return pump side.
