Okay this is my plan. He is in quarantine now with CP. I just picked up general cure and give that once he is out of CP.

Thanks for making feel better that maybe I don’t have the ugliest puffer :p

Can't speak on parasites or infection.
But how is it acclimating? Could be discolored due to lighting.
Mine needed it own tank. With no light for a few days before it came around.
Offer some food and light daily.
Once mine got settled its the most social, eating, hardiest fish I have now.
That's after being stuck to every intake for every pump I have in the res it is in lol

If he's eating it's not urgent, but if he stops eating and does have internal parasites, it can turn bad quickly. Meds are not my expertise but you can also mix treatment in food. If he is eating many prefer to do this; I'm not sure if dosing food and dosing cp at the same time is safe. How long is the cp tretment?
10 days total in CP. 2 done. 8 to go.

He seems good actually. I don’t see much issue with how he acts. He is a little timid, but he just traveled by plane and is stuck in a 20gal with pvc pipe. Its just that he is kind of ugly. The color is like light cream pasty body color and he has wrinkles. He looks like a grumpy old man. Hopefully once he gets to a tank with rock his color will darken.

One of these puffer show off threads should have a sticky!

I picked this guy up yesterday from my LFS. He just arrived and I took him home in the wholesalers bag. He was labeled as a canthigaster solendri, blue spotted Toby. He doesn’t look like what I expected. I think he is kind of ugly.

He is much lighter than other pictures I’ve seen. There is a lot more yellow and orange. His body seems almost misshapen with a protrusion above and behind his head, and his skin wrinkles when he bends. He is big, about 4 inches. He eats and swims well. Do you see anything I should be concerned about?

Turns out that a good quarantine and moving to the DT changed him into a stunner!!

I collected this beautiful little green eyed 1/2" reticulated burrfish in the sea in New York.
I kept him over a year and he grew 5" so I donated him to the New York Public aquarium.

Poor big fat puffy, he broke a tooth. If he would just break the other one, he'd be good. Funny thing is, I broke a tooth too, haha.
