But should I be trying to create the thirds now with rock or filling up that missing bit with coral?
Good point. If you filled in an upper corner and a lower corner with coral then that would be great! I just see a taped grid and go straight for law of thirds. lol. but you are right the final result is more important than just the rock.

Don’t mind the acrylic rod. That will be taken care of when I make my final decision on the scape. Also see my build thread in the cube build forum!
Looks really good! Agree a little more height on one end would maybe look a little more dynamic. I’d also love to see what an small island would look like at the left side front.

If your going for rule of thirds I would make the structure higher on one of the sides or try to go a little off center. Other than that looks really good!
I really like this one!

What light do you have for that clam and are they hard to keep care of awesome tank.
This was an basic Blenny cube with lighting.
You have to keep in mind that small clams need extra nutrients. They cannot survive on light alone. I used concentrated plankton and target feed it.
