@Dan_P biofilm thread as well as @taricha post in a different thread has me geeking out on biofilms and surfaces now!
I apologize in advance if this thread plants new obsession seeds for you all to grow and obsess over.
I've been noticing a pattern of certain interactions happening on surfaces of new tiles and discs in recent transfer tank. As well as looking at lots of pictures with coraline on dry rock starts lately and seeing alot of same stuff!
Can we see a picture of your dry rock with coraline growing on it?
If you have corals on rock are you noticing coraline predominantly growing around corals attached to rock as opposed to bare areas with open space on rock?
What are your nutrient levels?
Dosing trace elements?
