Created by a very talented local by the name of Ben Amos out of rough sawn 5/4 maple.

how did you get it to tip up?

I built my own mount out of some of the off cuts from my stand to match up to a pair of TV wall mounts. It has a single pivot point with nylon lock nuts. When the hood is down, it rests on the bolt so I can adjust the height to be level. Screwing out the adjustment bolt in the picture below will hold the hood up higher.

I got a couple more pics on my phone.

I originally tried to use the bracket that came with the wall mount, but it was way too flimsy and I couldn't tighten the top nuts enough to keep it from slipping. I also first tried to use a piece of angle aluminum. (It's actually 6" aluminum channel that was ripped.) The angle aluminum also made it hard to access the nuts/bolts on the bracket. So instead of having the bracket with a slot on the top, I cut down the aluminum again and made it into a piece of C channel the same inside width of the original bracket.

Here is the new bracket mounted to the hood.

At this point I drilled a couple holes on the sides and bolted the other half of the wall mount bracket to my newly fabricated piece.

A note about why they are so much longer/taller than the hood. I built my own led light, and I used the same aluminum channel for a heat sink. It's really heavy and I didn't think it would hold up long term just being suspended from the wooden hood.

So I used the brackets and any eye bolt to hold some bracing wire to support the weight.

If I get a chance I'll shoot a video of how it works and post it later.

Not as fancy as some, but I'm a framer not a craftsman. She's study, double 2x6 headers front and back, 3/4 ply and 1/2 foam on top. Once the tank is set, I'll run a 1x4 on flat to make a little shelf and caulk it in to the bottom trim. Double doors and black semi translucent stain with satin polyurethane will finish it off. We can take care of that while the tank cycles :)
