Sorry for the two pics, there's a massive wood panel in the middle lol

I have a felt roller in there, but I don't actually use it. I just haven't taken it out because it necessitates remove the protein skimmer too. There's a YT damsel hiding somewhere in there!

Nice work guys, great thread. I like a clean sump area, and a clean sump. I installed small wire mold to hide all wires, which looks amazing, but makes it a bit harder to do my once per year return pump and skimmer cleaning. Not too bad but it’s involved. My sump has a return pump, heater, skimmer, calcium reactor feed pump and a cO2 scrubber. About once a month during water change I siphon some detritus that makes its way down there.

I disconnect the input and output fittings, remove that gray U-clamp, slide it out of the other U-clamp you can't see, and turn it toward me. A hassle but not as hard as it looks.

It’s looking really good under there so far! Where’d you get the little shelf piece propping up your protein skimmer?
Thanks, I got off Ebay. I cant remember the guys name but he makes them in all different colors and I think 3 sizes. They come with different sizes legs so you can adjust the height accordingly.

Yes, octo does make a adjustable stand. I wish I had known when I bought mine because there's looks stronger than mine. I looked In my Ebay history and found the seller I got the stand from.

Sumps, I agree, are most important part of a reef tank. My new tank was just delivered last week. It’ll be a few weeks till it’s wet, but I do so LOVE the CADE design. I just uncrated the stand today with sump already tucked in. The entire thing is glass and powder coated steel. Very nice and seriously heavy duty.

for those that have skimmers in a larger sump and your drain hose has to go up and over the edge of the sump to drain -- what do you do to remedy that? I am thinking it won't drain via the hose with it having to go up and over the edge of the sump wall
