I think it would be a better bet to get multiple 90s no?
I would have to go with 4 90s then...

The 90s are 90W each - 80W to blue, 10W to white

The 160Ss are 160W each - 140W to blue, 20W to white

So, you get more white with the 160Ss.

Also, the 90s are held 8 +/-" off the water with the Red Sea 90 mount...

The 160Ss are held 12" +/-" off the water with the Red Sea 160S mount...

I think the 160Ss look better (taller) farther away from the water - and with their larger size...

But, yeah, $2000 for 3 160Ss without being able to see them beforehand is rather a hard pill to swallow...

Spend $2000 on 3 larger higher watt lights or $1400 on 4 smaller lower watt lights but both get similar amount of spread. I guess also aesthetic purposes right?

Right, aesthetics - I like the taller and larger 160Ss over the shorter and smaller 90s...

But mostly because you get 40W total of white blended light with 4 90s; and you get 60W total of white blended light with the 3 160Ss...

So, if you are aiming for a not so blue spectrum (like I am) - the 3 160Ss seem to be the way to go...

Right….but if I am or you are to spend that much money IMO better off to buy Radions or Reef Breeders…

My reply may be too late for your decision. I have a Max E-170 with RefLED 90, a 25g with AI Prime 16, and Reefer 300XL with 2xHydra 32’s.

I really like the ReefLED, and the simplicity is nice compared to the Prime/Hydra. And I now prefer the spectrum and appearance of the ReedLED, and try to emulate the appearance on the others. I’ll likely get a 50 to use on a nano.

Today I got a PAR meter, so it will be interesting to see whether my intensity is right for my corals (mixed reef).

My settings (80% blue, 75% white).

I have a 45 gallon cube with a single RL90. it's a decent light, but too many shadows all over the Acros. Just made the decision and ordered a T5 Hybrid fixture that I will add the RL90 to. With Acro's, especially as they grow into colonies there's just something to be said about having an effective light source that "wraps" the corals in light.
