Yea there will be allot coming because I am changing allot.
I just was not happy with some of it.
First off building shelves looks nice but it is not flexible and makes it hard to get at plumbing, electrical etc..
Just a open frame racking system is better and far cheaper but to late now.
I also do not have the time for breeding of fish and inverts even though I will be playing around with a few for now.. It just comes down to time and will be on hold for a while.

The 120 gallon was moved completely to another wall, updates soon on that. This gives me more room for the frag system on the current wall. I was just trying to jam to much into a small space.

The whole right side of the system is being rebuilt and the 5 tanks are going to be removed and one frag tank added most likely. The two rimless tanks just are not good for a system where you have to put your hands into allot and water runs down the sides. Final decision on what is happening with this side will happen once the 120 is done. I may put two frag systems there but I am thinking just one.. Just so much easier with allot of room above the tanks. This route is more work because I have to move the upper shelf and all plumbing.. This option means less space.

The fish and coral quarantine system is being redone.

Basically I am making the system more functional and more coral based than I originally wanted.
Breeding fish, and inverts is almost a full time job and you need to be home allot.

Just a teaser of the 120 gallon moved to another wall mentioned in the post above... I am almost done with it and adding more fish at the moment.
Allot has been done on it but some I can not show for now since there is some equipment I am testing and cant talk about right now.

Equipment for the 120 gallon reef is:
IceCap 36xl sump with Two Klir fleece rollers.
Rlss R8-I skimmer
IceCap Kalk reactor medium.
(2) Maxspect Gyre 250
VarioS 4 main pump feeding a Sea Swirl
ATO
Reef Octopus Waste collector.
UV sterilizer. (not installed yet)
(2) 300 watt heaters on a heater controller
Lighting is Two Kessil A360WE mounted on a
Aquatic Life
48" hybrid t5 fixture.

The other part of the rack system I am starting on in a few weeks here and is changing slightly like mentioned above. I have been looking for rimmed 36x24 frag tank like the other and having no luck since Deep Blue is out of business. I found some custom but with the way things are now with work because of the virus spending a fortune on a tank is out. So it is looking like a 30 breeder for at least now to replace those two rimless tanks.

I know it has been a long time since starting and the design has changed several times now. I work when I have the time, I have lots of hobbies and also test out reef equipment for manufacturers which can take up time. I also have another tank build I am working on up stairs.

I have added a bunch of fish..
(2) Sunshine Fish - Chromis insolata
(3) Royal Gramma
(2) Neon Gobies.
I also added some snail and a few hermits.
Not a fan of hermits but they were free.

I have 7 green chromis to add .. I have had these for like 6 years maybe.
I also have a few anthias to add soon. All these fish are in the rack system at the moment.

Hopefully get some pictures this week. We have family visiting for the week so it is hard right now.

Well guys I been holding off posting pictures of my changes to my system.

I had been Beta testing the Control 4 and 2 for Coralvue and been under NDA so it was hard to post pictures.

I started a thread to discuss the units here:

Anyway be ready for some updates the next few weeks. The system has really changed.

I am not breeding anything at the moment.
The Breeding section is going to be a separate system. The section I have right now are just for corals/sponges/anemones etc.
I am also building another section so I can have a separate system for SPS and another LPS/Softies.
I had purchase a pair of clowns so when that system is ready they hit maturity. They jumped out of their temp tank one night. I had also bought 1/2 a dozen banggai cardinalfish. Well turned out to be all male. I have paired a pair on Neon gobies it seems.

No issues with copying the aquascape.

yeah getting breeding pairs trios or whatever is frustrating.
I've ordered 1/2 dozen cherry shrimp and they were all female
and i got 5 cherry shrimp from lfs all males at different times
so I've never been able to breed them but I'm probably going to order 30ish and then if i don't have males and females i'm going to give up on breeding them

Yea.. I have bred clowns in the past many years ago.

Breeding wont be my main focus, just too hard with a fulltime job. I mean just keeping enough food available while I am work can be tough.

Also when it comes to breeding I do not want it to be fish mainly. I want to focus more on stuff like shrimp, snails etc. Something others are not doing, there are allot of clownfish breeders' already. I just need to practice on some of the easier stuff since it been so long.

More updates:
Updates have been slow because I have been testing the Hydros Control 4 and the Control 2.
Picture were not allowed. Also do not mind the messy wires it was easier to leave them lay for easy access with all the testing.
Also I still have my older system there as a back up incase something went wrong.

I just finish the red molding on the rack system:
I am currently switching the whole system over to the Hydros Control 2
I Also changed out the two rimless cube tanks for the 40 gallon breeder which was just filled with water a couple of weeks ago. I am going through a diatom bloom at the moment. Dead rock takes for ever.

The bottom shelf in this rack will have shelves and drawer. My next project.

This is the 120 Gallon and was moved to a different wall.
This tank is maybe 1/2 through ugly phase and looking much better.
I have not finished the trim on the stand, I ran out of wood.
This system is now Switched over to the Hydros Control 4
I have added 7 chromis that have been with me forever and have probably been in 6+ different aquarium's.
There are two Lyretail Anthias, Two neon Gobies, Three royal Grammas, and one Azure damsel.

This is what I am currently working on:

It is a work/fragging bench. The top will be cutting board material
On top it will have a quarantine tank so I can just drop my frags in.
It will have my Frag Saw.

Red trim on the doors is not fastened yet but just to give you a Idea what it will look like. The knobs on the doors will be red too.. Should go well with the red trim on the rest of the system.

I added 2 Klirs when they had the big sale on them.
They are Run off my Control 4 with a magnetic sensor and the motors run off a drive port with a Y connector. Works better than the controllers they shipped with.
Again ignore the cords with me testing the Controls it was just so much easier to let lay outside. Cord management to come.

Here is the 40 breeder that just replaced the two rimless tanks.
You can see the brown diatom growth from cycling. Soon will be some cyano. This tank is just a few weeks old.
This tank will be mainly a softy tank with a gorgonia forest.

Fish in include two chalk bass, yellow headed jaw fish, and a cherub dwarf angel.

This is my only tank right now with a sandbed. The others are starboard bottoms and frag tanks are bare.

I wanted one tank with some animals that dwell in or on the sand. I added a conch and will be adding a cucumber soon.

I would love to see another picture of that light hanger. Is it attached to the stand?
