Sentinel works better than interceptor if you can get your hands on it.

And a small pinch of deworming 1 everyday will keep them away and kill any flatworms after a couple months

Interesting - has this been around a while? Willing to try it

Which one?
Sentinel is interceptor with another medication that is supposed to prevent the bugs from reproducing. @Battlecorals recommended it and it definitely works better. I haven’t had any new bugs in 9 months.

Rey from pirates reef posted on IG about the deworming flakes killing all of his aefw in his display after a couple months and Chris from ACI confirmed it works on his coral farm on an episode of rapping with reef bum. He claims it also kills spionid worms and vermatid snails. I’ve been using it for a couple months and haven’t seen any new worms or snails either.

Anyone know of an online place to easily get Sentinel? @Charlie’s Frags did the regular pods still come back, the way they do with interceptor?

Just too add again do NOT run carbon or uv for the entire 3 week treatment. I also wouldnt waterchange, but carbon and uv will strip the medication out completely within hours.

I even turned the UV settings on my G6’s to 0% when I did the treatments

I can state from experience that wrasse can help with white bugs. Fish can only consume "X" amount of bugs simply because they cannot eat anymore. That is why I recommended to blow the bugs off the coral and rock causing them to flow through filtration and UV. Removing as many as possible should be taken as a given right?
I think you're talking about AEFW and not white bugs.

Well, I treated for the fourth time. Everything seemed good, did it right at the time I made this post and read the 6-7x instructions.

Guess what - they’re back. With a vengeance.

Do I have to just treat the tank regularly every 3 months?

I’m considering going the six line wrasse route… but I don’t know if that’ll work and they are aggressive
I got an Rx from a local fish Dr. I am dosing interceptor (no prazi) at 1 large pill / 50g. So with 315g, I'll dose about 6.5 large tablets. I'll do this 3x. And then every 6mo thereafter. I'm following this from someone else who has been doing it successfully.

That sounds like a good plan. Local fish Dr.? You don’t happen to be in Southern California, are you?

No, I'm in Michigan. I used this site to find one, I was sus at first, but it worked!

I called one and he knew exactly what I was looking for. He's working with a local pharmacy to compound it with the needed strength and no prazi. Kinda cool!

I'm interested in the food above, I too saw the video by pirates reef. From my understanding it helps more with aefw than white/red/black bugs. I asked him about vermited and he said that was tbd. I have a ton of vermited so would love to see if it works to destroy those jerks.

Sentinel is just milbemycin oxime, nothing else. Interceptor is milbemycin oxime -or- milbemycin oxime + Praziquantel. Sentinel 'works better' because you can increase the milbemycin oxime dosage to higher amounts without adding Praziquantel.

For those wondering, Interceptor comes in 2 forms - Interceptor & Interceptor Plus. Interceptor Plus contains prazi. Interceptor chewables contains prazi too (even though it's not listed as plus -- so those ones you buy from the UK have prazi in them). Interceptor tablets do not contain any prazi and is the same as Sentinel -- and you cannot buy the tablets in the US or UK (afaik) without an Rx.

I’m trying the deworming 1, just feed it once a day ?
