Hello all

I just got a pipefish on Tuesday. He’s been in my tank for about 2 full days and seemed to be doing well but about 20 minutes ago I saw him laying on the substrate. I noticed a chalky white band around his belly, but he isn’t dead yet as I can see his mouth and gills moving. My tank does not have any aggressive fish in it and I believe I acclimated him properly. I’m also loaded with copepods and put in a jar full from algae barn on Wednesday so there should be plenty to eat. Any thoughts?

It died shortly thereafter. I suspect that it drifted into my Peres as someone else suggested. I realized that I had it set in wavemaker so it had an inflow and outflow. I think it was pulled in during the inflow. Beautiful fish! I hope to get one again soon
