Noticed a week ago or so he was looking skinny. But eating. Today I saw he wasn’t eating at all. I’ve had him for 5/6 month with no issues. Had always been a great eater and a healthy fish. Nothing has changed in my system and everyone is doing great. What should I do to help save him? He’s about 5/6 inches long.

No additions to anything? Fish? Coral? Different water? Absolutely anything at all you can think of? Anyone different been around the tank where they could have put something in the tank? Any other fish, and how are they doing? How big is the tank?

Parameters are all perfect. I did now that I think about it add a new fish. It was a gift about 2 weeks ago. Forgot about him. He was getting beat up in a friends tank. We also have a new cleaning lady but she’s been instructed not to clean in the room with my system.

Did you quarantine the new fish?

Because it came from a friend with an established tank. But everything and everyone else is fine including the new addition.

New fish could be the Typhoid Mary. Is the Sailfin breathing heavy at all? Seen any stringy white poop come out of it?

5 min FW dip to provide temporary relief: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/freshwater-dip.248898/

Look for flukes as seen in the video at the bottom of that link. Just a word of caution: If he’s really bad off, he might not survive the FW dip.

Not sure if he will survive the dip. What about putting him in a QT tank with prazipro

No eating, heavy breathing and I believe light sensitivity check. Everything else no. I noticed he wasn’t eating a lot a while ago. Everyone else looks fine though, even the new guy after getting beat up after a few nights. What do you recommend I do? Wait and see or treat entire system. It’s 350 gallons
