I read on a post somewhere that silicone tubing can reduce vibration on the return pump in an AIO so I'm considering adding it to my Biocube 29. I currently have the semi-rigid green Eheim tubing. I also have some 1/2" ID clear PVC tubing already on hand.

1. Would changing out the tubing from the Eheim to either the PVC or the Silicone give me a reduction in vibration?
2. Would I need to add hose clamps to either type to get the tubing to stay on the fittings?

Thanks for any help!

Silicone hose is softer than either tubing mentioned.
Check to see if it is too close to a wall in the chamber.

If there is currently vibration coming thru the tubing silicone will reduce it. Yes you would need clamps.
