I have had this Six Line Wrasse for about 6 months and just yesterday he started to hide in one of the rocks. He didn't come out to eat.
Today is the same thing but now his color is spotty.

All other fish and corals seem fine.

Can anyone help with what the issu may be and what I should do with him?

Hi,

Can you try taking photos under white light instead of blue? It would also help to see a short video of the the fish. Other bits of information that can help us try to identify the issue are listed in this link:

Thanks,

Jay

Hey Jay, the tank has a blue background so all the pictures I take come out like this. I took a video that I will try to post.

Thanks for the video, but unfortunately, I can't see anything wrong with the wrasse. The spotty skin you described could indicate an infection, but I just can't see it clearly. It is pretty unusual for a fish that has been in a tank for 6 months to suddenly develop an infection - have you recently added any new fish?

No new fish. New years eve i added 2 sand sifting star fish, a fighting conch and 5 orange spotted nasarius snails. Everything in the tank seems healthy up until this issue with the wrasse.

O.K., well other than the idea that new invertebrates can sometimes carry disease into your tank, I just don’t have any other clues to work with...

Did you add any of the other fish recently? Asking because smaller six lines can be pretty shy with new fish ... once they get bigger, they can hold their own, and in some cases, become absolute terrors to new inhabitants.
