Skimmer for Red Sea reefer 525 xl

I recently picked up a reefer 525 xl. I am looking for skimmer recommendations to replace the aquamaxx cone s co-1 that I took off my 65 gallon. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. -Steve

Nyos Quantum 160 is a great skimmer and is also VERY quiet.

I appreciate the recommendation. I hadn’t seen much on Nyos skimmers. Your reefer is amazing by the way!

I run a Deltec Skimmer 1456DC on mine. Its a nice skimmer, but I would recommend the AC version (1455) instead, as the DC pumps have not been reliable. Still, the skimmer itself it amazing.

Bubble Magus Curve 7. Least expensive out of all the ones mentioned already and it has impressed me thus far. I also have the same tank.
