wow what a bunch of hassles are in a row of course lol Just go for a reef octopus 5000 like i did, love that skimmer! As for the clam spawning its good and bad like you said. Best bet is to do 25% water change, throw some carbon on the system too

Since I was unable to get on Reef2Reef yesterday and I took the day off for my birthday I had a LOT of time to work on the tank. I eradicated the tank of what seemed like the 1000 plus polyp colony of pink n golds.... It was a chore but I think I won that battle.

I also added some birthday additions hahaha! I need to get some pic's.....

Here's the list:
5" purple with neon green eye Lobo
4" Green Mandarin, this thing is huge! I'm scared it's soo big that I'll have to buy pods just to keep it fed.
3" 2 bar Rabbitfish
3" Flame Fin Tang
4 1" Blue Sapphire Damsels
2" Male McCoskers Flasher Wrasse
3" Female Solar Wrasse.
2 1" Tank Bred Bangaii Cardinals.

How many gallons is your system Lenny?

sorry for the late reply Chris. I actually had it running on my 180G. i did alot of large frequent water changes since we get nice clean water from the aquarium so i wasn't worried about skimmer-tank sizing.

Nice update Chris! I bet all those fish really have the tank "buzzing". Good luck on the skimmer, I've been looking around a bit as well. I don't think Jon is doing skimmers anymore either, which is a shane as his K2 was the best skimmer I have ever had.

Well here are some new shots. The HA is going away... But I'm now dealing with some SPS bleaching.

Yeah probably, plus my Alk got down to 7 DKH so I'm raising that back up...

I swear someone needs to invent an controller that monitors Cal, Alk, and Mag 24/7.....

What does everyone else do when they feed dry flake type food? Lately I've been soaking mine in SW with some Garlic Guard, Marine Snow, and Phyto mixed in, seems to be working well.

I just toss it in lol. I feed my snowflakes exclusively flake food, but my main display gets frozen foods thawed and soaked in Angelixer.
