There is some kind of thin brown hairy like formation on rocks, the marine tank is about 3 months old after cycling. Can someone advise what it might be and should I wash and scrub it off? Thanks

Thanks. I will try to get rid of them by scrubbing. Should I do a mild bleach and a one week cooking of rocks? I lost couple of fishes Damsel and blue botch last week, but checked levels and everything is fine, not sure if it's due to Chrysostom or ich or velvetChrystophytes. Kind of a pain.

I used paracidol for 3 days and the chrystophytes is completely gone. I am planning to continue for another 2 doses before making a 30% water change. Thanks for your helpYou can scrub and use a bit of peroxide in the water. It’ll kill less of the bacteria.
Do keep perhaps a bit of bottled bacteria as it’s a new tank and you don’t want to kill off the cycle.
Def dig into that thread
Do use extreme caution with that as it is copper based.I used paracidol for 3 days and the chrystophytes is completely gone. I am planning to continue for another 2 doses before making a 30% water change. Thanks for your help
