After getting Mandarin to eat, its a real drag to loose one. My systems are large with vegetable filters with copepods & amphipods. Do you grow other live food besides brine shrimp.
The one I lost was eating pellets, frozen mysis, and a whole host of other things. The biota mandarins are really awesome.

I had moved some stuff around and introduced some new fish and there was some chasing going on - and one of the openings in the screen cover was just a little big.

We've got another mandarin in the other tank - and he also eats pretty much everything - and mostly has since day 1. Biota does a pretty awesome job with them.

Where did you purchase a mandarin that feeds like that? Was it advertised that way? I witnessed a green mandarin eating mussel flesh a third of his length. Go figure.

I don't update this thread enough. We're coming up on 7 months - and the tank is now running on:

Control:
Robo-Tank/Reef-pi

Skimmer:
Tunze 9004 DC Skimmer

Flow:
2 Jebao OW10 wave pumps
Reef Breeders RP-m
Jebao dcp2500 return pump
Random Flow Generator nozzles on return

Dosing:
2 3d-printed dosing pumps being driven by the RoboTank
Dosing 50ml/day each of Randy's 2-part.

Fish:
2 Captive bred mocha clowns
1 Captive bred peacock/blue/pavo damsel
1 Royal Gramma
1 Lawnmower Blenny
1 unknown juvenile fairy wrasse (guessing cyanopleura)
1 Tomini tang

(The tang, Gramma, and Blenny are all from a local tank breakdown/crash)

Anyways, here's some crappy camera phone photos
