my glass is 1/2" so I'm not worried but less than that could be an issue. I think since they are usually sole aquarium inhabitants, people would have then in 25 gal which is thinner glass. so yeah. flood. but large aquarium I'm skeptical.Im not so sure I believe this. I put this in the reoccurring aquarium myths column.
I recently watched a video where they tested this. The mantis could only break a thin glass test tube. I highly doubt one could break a 10 gallon.my glass is 1/2" so I'm not worried but less than that could be an issue. Beh, got an unwanted mantis from TBS too. For the $$ paid, more of a headache than getting precured live rock with less hitchersdid you get it from TBS rock? keeping it in acrylic? so cool.
I've never done procured, so this is all I know. But it's been a super fun experience seeing what pops out. Kinda fits my concept for the tank, too: messy and more natural without anything super expensive/delicateBeh, got an unwanted mantis from TBS too.
