Smoke like stuff coming from long spine black urchin with video

It's at the end of the video, around 19 second mark. The smoke is coming from the bulbous disk on top of the urchin which is not visible right now. It looks like it is smoking. I am thinking it is releasing sperm cause that's what it looks like when I watch documentaries about corals spawning. Could that be what this is? Does anyone have any other ideas?

Side note, while I was waiting to catch it on video the snail in the pic "burped" some air bubbles twice. Is that normal?

They do that all the time, don't worry about it.

It takes two, but even so, you won't see any babies. They are to small to see and need to stay up at the surface with the microorganisms for a while to grow.
I used to have a sea urchin collection business and once 24 of them all spawned at the same time in my reef. The water looked like Half and Half.

It was. Half sperm, Half eggs. ;Blackeye
