Snail of questionable type

So, the way this snail is attached to the coral makes me feel like it's a vermetid, but it isn't really the right shape for vermetid, so I'm doubting myself. Do juvenile cerith snails attach to things before letting go and going out on their own? That shell shape seems to match this more but I don't know their life cycle well enough. I know my ceriths have been laying eggs. Anyone have any ideas?

Can’t really tell by the pic but there are Vermatids that are pretty large.
