I voted for my aquascape but the ease of maintenance is pretty sweet too. I like my aquascape because it is tiered and looks very natural. The tank has more rock than it looks like it has because some is under the sandbed acting as a retaining wall.

It is true there are many different ways to view beauty and its even true how we care and present our tanks.

To me, beauty in a reef tank is where all the coral are balanced in the tank, and there is a variety of color that make the landscape inside the tank. Having a balance of coral at the bottom and top and it draws the eyes to different locations. Then fish to help bring a motion to parts of the tank and bring it even more so that its a living eco system.

My little Alveopora garden. The Bernardpora only opens at night.
Hi there, nice garden!
I have an alveopora too, has been half open and just 2-3 branches are fully extended and the rest like 30% opened. I target feeding reef roids 2-3 times per week and Red Sea AB plus daily. AIO tank mix, 20g, lights ai prime 16hd, 100% uv, V, B, RB, and 20% R, G,15% CW. Any advice?

I just enjoy my whole tank. It's such a unique and diverse ecosystem.

Don’t know! Have luck with some coral like elegance, leather, and montipora which I removed most because they were taking over. Target feed 1st or twice a month With Selcon and Coral Frenzy

The most beautiful thing to me is the reflection of my girl in the glass. Sure, I can see her anywhere/anytime I want. The reason I love it in the glass is because of all the quality time we spend together with the tank.
@Rubberfrog -Nice move you sly devil! She's a keeper but still, you must be planning a tank upgrade, Right? :)
That I have reached a point of stability and can now just maintain and enjoy!
@Acroalan - Stability, if only. I'm almost there too but I'll probably always be on some mood meds.
the most beautiful thing about my tank is someone bought it and will carry it away LOL bought a new house and will be buying a new tank :)
@Cherub - Nice moves! Good luck with the new build! Live rock or something else for the new set-up?

My aquarium has been out-of-sight for the last few years. I started scraping coralline algae in December and I've got a nice view port into the tank so I can see inside again. I'm slowly reopening the view so that the fishes can acclimate to the loss of cover.

I've got a lot of scraping left to do but I'm trying not to rush it.

She's the one that wants the bigger tank! Why do you think I'm so in love?

Asking what’s the most beautiful thing in your reef is like asking which is your favorite child.

Everything matters.

The most beautiful thing is that I have gone a year without missing a weekly water change or a week without testing alk & calc.
I used to be much more lax about water changes and testing but the pandemic has given me more time for my tanks.

All this attention has resulted in growth, which is beautiful.
