I have lots of time on my hands (retired) so I’m always fiddling around with it. Believe it or not, it’s still going through the “ugly’s”. Started early Sept.

This time last year I started to rebuild after terrible neglect. Spending more time at home has been beneficial for the tank. I can envision it a year from now. Still need to mount some frags and I have a few more that I am planning on adding. I’m happy with the tank these days.

How am I doing?

For now, it's actually looking good.

This was it earlier this week:

And here it is today:

I suppose I should grab a FTS of its current state, but lights are off now, so I guess that'll have to wait for tomorrow. A round of Chemiclean took care of the cyano that was choking everything... now we just have to wait and see how it plays out long-term. For now I'm happy with it.

Finally looking better after 10 days of fluconazole. There are still a few stubborn patches, but I suspect a few more days and a good scrub will knock down the rest of it.

The dwarf seahorse refugium is also thriving, though I need to tweak my overflow a bit to allow for a little more surface skimming

Hey everyone,

Just thought I would post a quick video I took this afternoon - we all go through cycles of good and bad, and it feels good when things are going well!!

Thanks!

Haha, cycles are right. It's a combo of ups and downs. I'm on a down cycle as I'm battling ich. Just when I got my Aquascape where I wanted it I had to tear it all down to catch the survivors. Now I'm in a fallow period until later February and I'll be piecing it back together between now and then.

Post holocaust...

Never better....

Of course, it's never looked great. I'm sure it will be only a few thousand $ more in equipment and corals and it will look spectacular though. At least that's what I told my wife after TSA's beat-the-rush sale. Okay, so I may have omitted the word "thousand".
