I know there are opposing ideas on this, but I'm curious. Do you think anemones need to be fed? Why or why not? I will say that I have BTAs in mind as I ask this question.

If you want an unruly monster feed it. I feed mine fresh shrimp once every other week and it has quadrupled in 8 months. Now I need a bigger tank :(

My BTA is about 2’ across at this point, and I haven’t directly given it food ever....... If I could slow it down I would!

Mine split so fast even without feeding them. And now that I have a pair of triggers in the same tank, they'll probably get fed even more because of the messy eaters. 2 years ago I started with one rainbow BT... I've probably sold 60-70 of them since, and I still have about 50 of them. They are pretty though. :0)

I have 2 systems. Both get the same AWC and dosing. I feed the tank the same things also. Both have the same number of clownfish. In one system I don't feed the nems directly and they grow huge and split. In the 2nd system the tentacles shrink and the nems will whither away if I don't feed twice a week. I can't figure out the difference. Also, the 2nd tank has the clone nems from the 1st tank so they are the same genes. I think that's why there is so much debate. In some systems you have to feed and in others you don't.

With sufficient lighting, no supplemental food is necessary. Though I think they grow faster with regular direct feedings.

Question, aren't you worried the Nem in tank #1 will move overnight and kill corals? Can you please list your equipment, parameters and maintenance. Your tank is awesome! Colors, placement and variety just incredible.

Is the lighting setup the same on both tanks?
