I know there are opposing ideas on this, but I'm curious. Do you think anemones need to be fed? Why or why not? I will say that I have BTAs in mind as I ask this question.
My maroon feeds its nem every day. The lta and 2nd bta I feed twice a week diy fish food.

It all depends on your system and what kind off nutrient level you maintain. I have a mixed reef that I feed twice daily to keep my anthias happy - this keeps nitrates around 10 and phosphates around 0.1 - and I can't stop my BTAs from multiplying!! Had 2 in January - traded 4 this year, and still have 6 in my tank!!

If you're gonna feed your nems make sure you have room for them as they grow and multiply!

I do not feed mine unless it look like it might want a small squirt of reef roids.
I used to feed them every few days, but then I noticed they got really big fast and a few would just spilt after a month of doing so.

The clownfish take care of it. These suckers splint regularly and started as one animal and are now about 5.

Anemones have sticky tenticles that will readily grab food whenever they can. So yes, they are designed to eat so they need to be fed

These are gorgeous!
Thanks. I got the first one years ago it was about 3". My maroon clowns home in them and spawn regularly. They began to split and about every 3-5 months I get one that isn't on the rocks so I sell it.

No, I just feed the tank. My clowns will bring the nem food sometimes.

I do feed my condy 1 or 2 times a week. but he is still really small. about 3" across with tentacles out. He seems to enjoy it.
I feel it comes down to the type of anem. and the tank conditions. if you broadcast or spot feed your corals, and if you have fish or not. I don't have fish so I spot feed.
Also if you have the room for it to grow as well.
just my 2 cents
