so im thinking of running skimmer line outside

thinking of running skimmer line outside. I've already drilled a hole behind tank ti basement for other equipment.

my question is... I live in upstate NY. way upstate. we get very real and very brutal winters. is this an issue? I am just thinking that pulling that much cfm if 0° air thru skimmer will cause temp fluctuation or worse heater will be running constantly to try to keep up
