After everyone was banned on RC, they moved to R2R which is a more friendly non-ban happy forum. RC is still great for the massive repository of info it contains, especially the old Advanced Aquarist archives.
Makes sense -- I feel that way about Reddit :p

It's been 4 years since my last tank and in that time it seems like R2R shows up a whole lot more than Reef Central when I google different topics. Is R2R the main forum people go to these days?
Welcome!

This is definitely where a lot of people share a lot of info these days, which is why I also joined. Sounds like 'Welcome Back' also applies! Glad you joined.

I noticed the same thing. After a decade away from reefing, coming back and learning all new concepts and techniques of the hobby, I have had absolutely no need to go to reefcentral for anything.

Anyone remember RC of the mid to late 2000s with their completely non-functional search function? LOL. It was fun trying to research new topics back then. :p
