So I have a problem! I got bryopsis on a frag a few months ago. At first I thought it was gha and figured my surgeon fish and hermits would have a nice treat. It started spreading so during my weekly water changes I would scrub it off the rocks with a toothbrush. It would be good for a few days but then would come back worse than before. I didn't realize at the time that I was only making it worse![emoji20] I ordered some reef flux last week and got it yesterday! I did a 20% water change and added it last night. Hopefully it works out because nothing else seems to get rid of this stuff. I'll be updating pics every few days to show the progress, if any. Crossing my fingers!

Day 4! Definitely a big difference in the tank![emoji106] The bryopsis is definitely dying. It is alot more pale, not a dark green , and some areas where it was not as thick, it is almost gone! I'm definitely happy with the results so far even though I have a while more to go!

Only issue I see is that my Duncan is not as open as much as usual. Hopefully it isn't a long term problem.

Yeah as I say, most if not all of my coral closed up to varying degrees from a day to about a week depending on which one. After a week pretty much everything was 100% back to normal.

So I guess there's hope!

Is this the same as the Fluconazole capsules everyone is using? Or is it something different?

I put it in my tank 2 weeks ago. The only coral not looking good is my Duncan.

If you dose keep an eye on your alk. Mine started to climb the first week. This means the coral were not growing as much. I had to turn off my dosing pumps for a day to let the levels drop then reduce my daily dose. No my alk is starting to drop a little. If it continues I will be able to raise my dose back up.

I don't dose as I have mostly zoas and a few lps. I do a weekly 10-15% water change. I am going to eventually start dosing kalk in my ato but haven't really seen a need for it yet. Hopefully my Duncan recovers from whatever is bothering it.

Thank you.

Edit: I have 5 200 mg tablets that I bought a couple years back when I had a similar issue on my 40 breeder. I have a year old upgrade, 210 gallon, and it is raging with either green hair algae or this. I'm leaning towards GHA though since it seems to be a bit longer and wavy but in any case was considering this treatment again to see.

Duncan was completely closed up yesterday but looks a little better today. Not back to normal but getting there!
