Had some vinyl 3/4”ID tubing laying around at the house- plumbing 2 returns. Is there any problem with quality of me heating the tube to install into a 1 inch barb in the long run of it wearing and breaking off ??? Just want to make sure it’s durable and don’t snap off by the 1”barb stretch. Want to make sure it’s rock solid. I like the 1inch barb for the 90 elbow inner diameter flow. The 3/4 elbow barb is way alot smaller in inner diameter than the rest of the 3/4 lock line and PVC fittings

Ok, that was just a test to see if I can get the 3/4 on the 1inch! I’m going to try again tomorrow. Thanks

There is always a risk of the vinyl tubing splitting if you stretch it that far. Probably not right away, but vinyl loses its flexibilty/pliability over time. I would not do it.
