Guy's, you've probably seen me around the threads asking a lot of questions about Red Sea and Waterbox aquariums. I was torn between the Reefer 425XL and the Waterbox 130.4. And I chose the Waterbox! I took advantage of their Blue Friday 2 weeks ago and today I received the very anticipated shipping email. Tank should be here Monday 11/23. Two weeks wasn't that bad of a wait. I thought I was going to have to wait minimum 6 weeks.

I'm transferring most of my corals from my existing Biocube 32 and turning it into a quarantine tank.

In the meantime this is some of the equipment I've ordered so far. I will definitely need the experts advice on some of the equipment.

It'll be a mixed tank

In hand/ordered:
Tank - Waterbox 130.4....duhhh
Lighting - 2 Radion XR15 Blue's might order a 3rd one
Return pump - Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0
Skimmer - Aquamaxx ConeS DCQ-2
Flow - 2 Nero 5's will be ordering more as needed
Substrate - Caribsea Reef Special Grade
Rock - 1 Caribsea Tree's 2 Caribsea Mushrooms

I need suggestions for the following:
Heater - ?
Reactors - ?
UV sterilizer - ?
Any sump baffles out there for this tank?

Thank you in advance everyone. Can't wait to start the new tank journey.

Congrats on the new setup! Not sure on the wattage you would need but i've been eying the brs titanium heaters. What are you looking to run in the reactors? if its just GFO or GAC you can get two two little fishies phosban reactors.

Thank you! I'll definitely checkout the heater you mentioned. I've always ran carbon on all of my tanks. I was checking out some of the Aquamaxx fluidized reactors. I'm going to checkout Two Little Fishies Phosban reactors for sure.

Good luck @Solrock106 ! I have a 130.4 being delivered at the start of December, so will be following along here
I was considering modifying the sump to install a Clarisea, but think I’ll go with the filter socks.
Congratulations your delivery is right around the corner. Clarisea filter roller is still very new to me I'm still doing my research on it. To be honest my build is going to take a long time. I'm not going to rush anything. It'll be a few weeks before I put any water in this tank. So a Clairsea might be in the works as I learn more about them. They seem very popular. Best of luck and I'll follow your progress also.

Received a call from FedEx that the delivery is by appointment. So I have to wait one more day for my tank. It's okay by me I just wish I knew before hand. I left work early today .

Sicce Syncra 9.0 return pump and my Nero 5 powerheads should be here on Wednesday. If all goes well the stand and tank should be put together by tomorrow evening.

Alright guys! Let the fun begin! So do yourselves a favor put away the crowbars, you will not need them. The last thing you need is a scratch on the glass because you went bananas trying to open this thing lol. Once you remove the screws that surround the upper part of the box you will be able to remove the top lid. All you need to do is bend the back and front piece down. There are small staples holding all the panels. Then do the same with the side panels and you're done. The tank is definitely heavy. Now to get to work on the stand. Stay tuned guys!

I'm making some real progress here. Time for some ZZZZ's. Tomorrow I'm right back at it. Did anyone else receive the manifold for their 130? I thought the manifold was only for the 180 and up. Maybe they sent it by accident, I received one. Maybe it's standard now for all tanks? Glad I didn't buy the parts beforehand.

We are building our 130.4s at the same time! I was putting together the cabinet last night and noticed that when I mounted one of the doors, it hung crooked. It was flush on near the hinge, but further towards the middle there is a pretty big gap below the top of the stand...tried it several times, just wouldn't seem to hang straight using the pre-drilled holes. I'd be interested to see if you have this issue come up too!

Hey that's good to hear someone doing the build at the same time. Yeah I'm mounting the doors today. Two reasons why I didn't do it yet. The biggest was it was late last night when I finished the cabinet structure. Number two is because I'm not sure if the sump will go in with hinges on. Maybe you might know?

Just finished putting my 110 Marine X stand together. Did you all have several hardware parts left over?

Did you take a look at WB website video on how to adjust your hinges? Was helpful to me in hanging doors.
