More goodies came in today. I think I'm going to give the Waterbox manifold a chance. I'm installing a quick disconnect union and shut off some I'm able swap it or service it.

Looks good. I'm following and building along as well. I just received my 130.4 today.

Alright the tank is in it's permanent spot. I left 3 1/2 inches in between the tank and the wall. I might go 4 inches. Doors were definitely a pain in butt to install. They came out pretty good after adjusting them a million times. Next will be the plumbing and sump. And then further down a DIY controller board. Taking a couple of days off from the build....wifey is giving me the evil eye lol. Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Yep, this is exactly what I needed! Would be helpful if they made this info easier to find lol
Yep, same here lol! Got mine in April and finally got the doors straight. Minor thing but annoyed me to no end every time I walked into the office.

To the OP, fair warning that my doors were aligned before filling, and not after lol! But at least you know how to adjust them. These are fantastic looking tanks. I highly recommend a fitted screen top. I got mine from Artfully Acrylic/Clearview Lids and couldn't be happier. There was a bit of a back log, so may want to order sooner vs later.

After almost going in to a Thanksgiving food coma . I still managed to get some work done on the tank. Mounted the Radion's and tested them out to makes sure there aren't any surprises down the road. I'm hoping to have the plumbing and sump in place by the end of the weekend. Tomorrow I'll show you what I do to prep the stand before I put the sump in place.

This is how I prepped my cabinet for the sump. You can use any product of your choice I used J&B. Let's face it, whether we're performing regular maintenance on our sump or adding a new piece of equipment we might splash a bit of water on the sides or rear of the tank. We all know how water can creep in to the smallest of holes. I put a small beed of J&B sealer around the bottom of the cabinet. I'm 80% done with my plumbing.

Had some time today to assemble my protein skimmer. For those who were wondering the footprint of the Aquamaxx ConeS DCQ-2 in a 130.4 sump here it is. As you can see I put a piece of paper in front of it so for those who are interested in placing a baffle there, you have plenty of room to do so. I'm ordering the baffle real soon and I'll post some pics for you guys. Happy reefing everyone.

We are building our 130.4s at the same time! I was putting together the cabinet last night and noticed that when I mounted one of the doors, it hung crooked. It was flush on near the hinge, but further towards the middle there is a pretty big gap below the top of the stand...tried it several times, just wouldn't seem to hang straight using the pre-drilled holes. I'd be interested to see if you have this issue come up too!
I had no problems getting doors to hang right.

I got around today to building the control board. Just purchased some plywood and went to town on it. I used a jigsaw to make most of my cuts. I also purchased some magnets to keep the board in place. I ordered the surge protector from Ebay. I think 10 switches is perfect and I might even need more. It has two USB plugs that I can use for the cabinet lights or if I decide to mount a tablet on the door. If I purchase an Apex Controller I'm installing it in a separate cabinet. Doser is the last thing I'm putting on this board.
