I am starting my first tank. I bought some rock from a local reefer. If I knew then what I know now I would have bought Caribsea Life Rock. Right now this is what I have. Some of the rock does not look like the reef rock that I see most use. So the question is this. Will these rocks eventually turn purple from Coralline Algae. And when I add Coral will it hid all the "ugliness"? I am thinking of ditching all the rock and just spending an extra few hundred and get the Caribsea Life Rock. But it is a bit expensive.

Any suggestions? Advice? Help? :).

Thanks

This is my tank now.

Coralline will cover anything and everything over time. I think your setup looks great. It has great depth.

Thanks for the encouragement! I guess I need to be patient :). I've been changing it every day for the past week. LOL. Maybe it's time to just leave it alone. LOL. Thanks.
