So I got a shipment of snails from reef cleaners a few days ago. I had a couple that didn't make it most have been eaten by other critters except this guy. Yesterday my wife noticed something growing under it and tonight its almost double in size. Anyway idea what it could be? It appears to be growing under the snail out of the sand bed.

Are those spaghetti worms eating the necrotic flesh?
I don't know. I started the aquarium last month with dry rock, caribsea sand and the only things I've added were 2 clownfish 3 weeks ago and these snails from reef cleaners about 5 days ago. I don't know where spaghetti worms could have come from unless they were on the snails.

if it is a spaghetti worm i would suggest removing it, they aren’t necessarily bad since they just eat the leftovers and dead stuff, but once they settle in they’ll be everywhere so siphoning won’t really be an option at that point
because some move into the rocks

Thanks, I'll remove it.
