Just curious
Wikipedia says they havew a symbiotic relationship with tyhe worm sto stop them from being buried in the sand since they're on the floor of the ocean. The worm keeps them moving. And I guess the worm gets protection from predators and a little coral to hide out in.

Love that this thread is super active as of late , I like the suggestion of a bitope tanks also perhaps a mixed lagoon type tank with calcified macro algae would be an interesting addition.

come to think about some of the odd balls named here they're all pretty hardy species its kinda a shame they aren't talked about much.
come to thin of another coral which I dont have and would like to is leptoseris and mancia which finds it way into the hobby occasionally
I have a couple different leptoseris frags as of recently. One is a cool pale green color and the other was a 5 dollar “needs love” frag that’s got a really dark base and little orange tips. If it survives, will definitely be a show piece. You’re right when you say they aren’t talked about much because until I saw them at my LFS I don’t think I had ever heard or read about it.
