This tanks has now been setup for 15 months, and I'm starting to enjoy the tank more.
We've had equipment failures, tank instability, test kits giving wrong data, but hoping that those times are soon behind.

Losses: 7 fish total; 3 jumped (diamond goby, hippo tang, small male clownfish), and 4 for unknown reasons (2 female Lyretail Anthias, Kole Tang, 1 of the 4 Black Axil Chromis). The Kole went in a few days of arrival, so thinking it was sick to begin with.
Lost lots of corals, I should underline the world LOTS. Alk swings, PAR burns, most happened during alk swings.

Equipment failures: Clarisea SK-5000 didn't last long and I posted about it a while back. The new motor for it has arrived, so I will get the equipment back in the next few weeks. Trident was unreliable since last summer. At times the alk would show 9+ and would be in low 8, calcium could be showing over 600 and would be in 410-420 range on Red Sea Pro test kit. Hanna calcium checker is junk, it too was showing incorrect levels (too low). Apex salinity probe died, pH probe is showing pH too high.

New equipment: floating canopy built by Nemo's Reef (Kevin). Added 3 Gen 5 XR15 Pro's to the 4 ReefLED 90's and now should have ample light to grow anything I want (as long as they stay live for other reasons).
Additional Neptune Systems EB32 energy bar will go in to house any equipment that is currently not on Apex. New salinity and pH probes.
Clearview EZ Classic lid arrived last week.

New Rock: Added 7 more arch rocks to the setup, and now I'm super happy with the way the aquascape looks.

Current fish list:
  • Bellus Angelfish (female)
  • Bellus Angelfish (male)
  • 3x Black Axil Chromis
  • Blue Spotted Rabbitfish
  • Clarkii Clownfish
  • 2x Spotcinctus Clownfish
  • Copperband Butterflyfish
  • Foxface Rabbitfish
  • Blotched Anthias
  • Lyretail Anthias (female)
  • Lyretail Anthias (male)
  • Spotted Coral Croucher
  • Yellow Wrasse
  • Regal Angelfish
  • Gemmatum Tang
  • Mimic Lemon Peel Tang
  • Orangeshoulder Tang
  • White Tail Bristletooth Tang
I forgot to say I have awesome aiptasia for sale, I'd be willing to even part for some of it for free, any takers? I've got LOTS of it.

Wow! Looks really good.

I have had several jumpers. Not adding any more fish until ClearView Lids show up. Should be early next month.
I wanted to add wrasses but didn’t want to risk any more jumpers until this lid came. Clearviews production estimate was spot one and my lid came well wrapped and in perfect condition.

Just passing through and admiring your build! Looks amazing! Planning to upgrade to a 200+ tank in the next year or so, so for now, I get to admire your hard work!
Thank you for your kind words. You'll enjoy a larger tank for sure. This is our largest, and also have a 92-gallon and a 50ish gallon cube.

It's been a while since last update. Today my dream equipment came, and I'll be setting them up this coming week. Alkalinity swings has been my big problem, DOS has air in the lines quite often, and that messes things up. Trident is very unrealiable, and I'm replacing it now with the new equipment.

Today's loot:

That looks serious. Following. I am looking a dose system soon. Its either Mastertronic or the Red Sea. Either way I do like the look of the new Red Sea Slide Out Control Panel for the Dose system and the optional basket to hold supplement containers.

Mastertronic is a water tester, the Dosetronic is a 5-head doser.

What Mastertronic tests...
  • Measures PO4/ NO3/ Ca / Mg / dKH* / OLI (may add parameters in near future)
    • Nitrate (NO3)Accuracy / Precision (+/-) : 0.5 ppm / 0.1 ppm
    • Phosphate (PO4)Accuracy / Precision (+/-): 0.01 ppm / 0.005 ppm
    • Magnesium (Mg) Accuracy / Precision (+/-): 20 ppm / 20 ppm
    • Calcium (Ca) Accuracy / Precision (+/-): 6 ppm / 6 ppm
    • Alkalinity (dKH) Accuracy / Precision (+/-) 0.1 dKH / 0.05 dKH
    • OLI – is our own derived parameter that measures the organic matter in water. Can indicate when users should run or replace carbon

The only negative I have so far is the availability of these units. They're far more popular in Europe and Asia, and only a small amount of them gets distributed to the USA. I waited for these to arrive since spring.

Rollermat got installed today and Aqua UV replumbed with the media reactor. What’s neat with this rollermat install is how the one row of media cups/socks wax left in place instead of removing them completely. This is 3XL 900.
