Sponge on frogspawn skeleton

Hi,
I bought a frogspawn coral and would like to know if this sponge on its skeleton is dangerous or not. Thanks!

It probably is not dangerous but it might annoy the coral I would remove it

I didn’t get it all, but did cut it back a bit. Hopefully it is harmless. Will post pics of the frag opened up soon.
