Hello all. Fairly new to the hobby and not sure what this is next to my Red BTA. Kind of looks like a sponge but I’m honestly not sure. Any insight would be great. TIA!

I’ve added others with more/only white, just not in the original post. Take a look at some of the replies.

That's a clump of hair algae, nothing too harmful but I would pluck it out as soon as you can.
