Great start and your former tank was awesome, looking forward to watching your new build progress.

Wow... if this is anything like your smaller tank, it'll be awesome! Looking forward to following along the progress as I'm also setting up a Peninsula tank (52"L x 36"W x 26"T). I have all of the equipment... just waiting for the tank to arrive.

Thank you! I’ll be turning my small reef into an anemone tank so stay tuned! I just need to set up the new tank first then I’ll be doing a new aquascape on the anemone tank. The rocks will be cycling in the garage so hopefully it’ll be ready for a Colorado sunburst by the end of the year!

Thank you! Congrats on your peninsula! Those dimensions are awesome :)

Gem tang
Yellow tang
Flame wrasse pair
Borbonius anthias
Helfrichi firefish
Bluespot Jawfish

Bummer about the kit missing. Looks like you are off to a good start!

Thank you! The tank is already cycled but no fish yet. I asked my supplier to get me a black and gem tang so hopefully he can get me those fish soon. I’m also getting my calcium reactor setup on Monday so hopefully I can hook that up soon. My plan is to add SPS in 2-3 months.

Looks awesome, it will turn in to a stunner for sure!

Don’t be a wimp, at least get the regal angel ;)
In all seriousness they are really low risk, I’ve never seen mine bother anything but zoas and as far as I know that’s generally what you can expect.

I’ll think about it ;) Can I buy your regal? Lol
If I find a healthy one and he’s eating well, then I’m probably going to get it. Do you think I should add it first?

It’s staying put hehe.
It depends, if you can find a healthy specimen it should be able to hold its own against a couple of resident tangs...at least mine did.
since it looks like you’re starting with all dead rock I would personally wait until the biological diversity has increased so that it has something to graze on during the initial phase.
