I can’t contain my excitement.. I’m finally getting my dream fish: black longnose tang! He arrived so healthy at my LFS today. He went through a freshwater dip for 10 minutes and formalin bath for 45 minutes. He’s also in a copper holding tank. He was already eating when I saw him! I made a large acclimation box for him and I’ll keep him there for about a week.

I dunno, I don’t think 4 years is that old. If my current rimless started to have a seam fail at 4 years I would be really disappointed. I’m glad they’re giving you a good discount though.
I agree, I also bought it used so not sure the actual age.

I’m in love with my tang gang! Today, I added my dream fish: a back tang, as well a powderblue, and a pair of yasha gobies with a candy cane pistol shrimp!

The gem is chasing the powderblue a bit but not too bad. No one is messing with my black tang! They all ate Like pigs right off the bat.

Hooked up a camera so I can view the tank whenever and wherever I am!

I’ve also been thinking about how to protect our pets in case of a power outage. Short-term solution is purchasing an Ecotech battery backup. Best would be a whole-house generator but I don’t really wanna do that right now since we’re planning to move in a couple of years. For now, I want to get an inverter generator.

I see you've added an Acanthurus... and I thought you're sticking with Zebrasoma. Very nice mix indeed!

I’ve got a cam setup too. Nice to check in on the tank from work when there’s a moment to relax. I think it’s my “happy place.”

Lol yeah he was at my LFS since July and I’ve never had a powderblue so I figured I’d give it a shot. If he doesn’t work out, my buddy has a new WB 180.5 and he’ll gladly adopt him, just like my other yellow tang. So far, just some minor scuffle but he’s definitely establishing his dominance. Even my gem tang backed out

Nice! It’s one way I relax too when I’m stressed at work! I have a feeling I’ll be taking more frequent breaks at work this week haha

He better prove himself worthy of an Acanthurus!;)
