No leak! Now time to get my calcium reactor media and CO2 tank. One step closer to adding some corals :)

That’s some creative plumbing! Looking forth to how you plumb your CaRx.

Any reason why you’re not using the Remag?

I’ve had great success in the past using the Zeovit magnesium. Now that you’ve mention the remag, I’ll do more research on that and see which one is best for my system.
Thanks! Hopefully I can hook up the CaRx soon! I’m itching to add my tester acro :)

Change of plans; I just finished watching the new @Bulk Reef Supply 360 lighting episode and Ryan convinced me to switch from Radions to Kessils 360x
Great decision. While I think that radions are the better light for stand alone LED lighting, for LED/T5 hybrid, the LED component needs to give shimmer. And nobody does shimmer better than a kessil. I had a kessil/T5 hybrid on my last tank.

Totally. I'm going with the Radion G5 because of their improved light spread over the G4. Prior to that, I would have considered the LED/T5 hybrid.

I’m also thinking about adding two strips of reefbrite xhos between the kessils! I’ve always been a huge of reefbrites

Wait so you’re going to have 4 t5 bulbs, a couple kessil 360X and 2 reefbrite strips?

Seems like overkill (not in a good way) and too many cords and plugs! Just my opinion...

Haha you’re probably right. My EB32 is already full. I definitely need to get one more. I still need to hook up the heater, chiller, calcium reactor, carbondoser, kamoer peristaltic pump. Dang, I may need to have three EB32

I’ve decided to set up the control box today. I still need to get a cable raceway and mount the power supply behind the control box but it’s getting there! Now I have plenty of room under the stand for the calcium reactor and the CO2 tank.

Ugly algae is starting to appear! I’m just going to let it run through its course. I don’t like adding chemicals or run carbon/GFO. I’m kinda old school: just wait and do consistent water change.

We’re at the same spot with our builds. Got some diatoms going on the rocks. The clean rocks looked so nice...guess those days are gone forever. Eventually it’ll all be purple!

Nice!! Hopefully, the uglies will go away in 3-4 months. I’d like to start adding SPS by the start of 2021!

I keep changing my fish list because I can’t decided if I want a Red Sea regal angel and/or bandit angel or not. For now, these guys are for sure in:

Gem tang
Purple tang
Yellow tang
Male flame wrasse
Male lineatus wrasse
Helfrichi firefish
Bluespot jawfish
Royal gramma
Yasha goby
Borbonius anthias
Green mandarin pair (to be added in a year)

I’m on the fence with these guys:
Black tang
Koi tang
Red Sea regal angel
Bandit angel
Copperband butterfly
Ruby red dragonet

Thanks! Why don’t you go with a hybrid and have the reefbrites XHOs in the middle? I love having T5s as supplements.
Thinking of going straight into 5 -7 length of REEFBRITES XHO actinics and daylight or the 50/50, they are supposed to be T5 replacements minus the heat. Plus they are APEX ready.

Given the recent departure of ETM from APEX, I am contemplating using the DOS instead of VERSA and WAV instead of NERO5.
