It's been a while since I updated this. Mainly because not a lot has progressed. I've just been researching everything LOL. I've made some purchases though. I bought a power head I saw for pretty cheap at my LFS and a pump as well. I decided to design my own light fixture. I've gone back on forth on buying one a building one for months. I decided to go with a mixture of t5's and LED's. The LED's are just gonna be used for extra color and moonlights though. I bought individual socket's for t5's. I'm waiting to find a deal on a ballast. I'm going with 5 48" t5's. I haven't decided what LED's yet though.

That's all for now. I'm getting some goodies for the tank for Christmas, so there will be another update then. I don't know if any one still follow's, but I thought I'd share none the less.

Please ignore the sloppy work on the RO/DI unit. I'm redoing my RO/DI setup and making it into a salt mixing station. Influenced by the salt mixing station thread. :nerd:

SO. I'm finally starting the build on the stand. I ordered all my rock and my sand yesterday and a bunch of other goodies. Which means this tank is finally on it's way!

Sounds like things are coming along great. Looking forward to seeing your light fixture. I think a T5/LED combo will look great. Your patience is awesome. I think that's key to being successful in this hobby. Can't wait for more updates.

I've gotten quiet a bit done!

Me and my dad finished building the frame of the stand. I've put on a coat of polyurethane, now only like five more haha.

I turned the skimmer on yesterday to break it in. I had a question though, I bought the bulk reef supply carbon and GFO reactor. My question is which one should I fill it with first? And when?
