All my fish died, There is a fish that brought in some kind of disease and killed off all my fish I have some coral frags 2 snails and 4 hermit crabs. I was thinking of restarting the tank, move the living things into a small tank draining the main tank and redoing it, but if I do this do I need to let the rocks and sand dry out or what do I do?

I know that once it is set back up i will keep that extra tank as the holding tank so this won't happen again but dose anyone have any advice for a restart?
Thank you

I don't think there is any reason to start over...let the tank be fallow (fishless) for 2 months to make sure anything in there dies off, and slowly start to add fish again. In the mean time you could setup a quarantine tank and get the new fish going.
