Hello all,

I am moving to a larger place and would like to set up a reef tank along with my freshwater aquariums. I previously had a fluval evo 13.5 nano reef a few years back and wanted to get back into the hobby. I was interested in purchasing the Red Sea reefer 350 G2 deluxe kit which comes with lighting, powerheads, skimmer etc. I am only planning on keeping mostly softies and some euphyllia. I don't plan on having more than a pair of clowns, some inverts and 2-3 other small fish. Would this set up be overkill? I do want maintenance to be as easy as possible. I will be setting up an RODI system and I plan on doing weekly water changes.

I had a Red Sea Reefer 350 gen1 with softies and LPS and it was great, I really liked that tank.

If it comes with Lighting, Powerheads, and Skimmer then you will need;
Sand
Rocks
Test kits (salifert or red sea)
Heaters
maintenance tools (tongs, net, glass scrapper)
return pump
salt mix
mixing container
extra filter socks

later you might want to add reactors, dosers, controllers, etc.

In my RSR350 I used the USA current 1050 pump

It is on the cheaper end for pumps, but it got the job done.

On my current tank I have a Reef Octopus which I really like, but it's more expensive.
