No plan for a skimmer as of now.

Rock is:
20# stax
22# marco prime cuts

I moved my AF life fil and some sponges etc from my old sump into the bottom chambers by the return to start a mini cryptic zone.

I feel like ordering 5# just to play with. I know they are not cheap. But these look so cool..

Did you ever finish your scape? Curious how the finished product turned out.
Yeah, but I didn't like it. It's kinda broken up a bit now, still deciding on direction I want to go with the tank. It's a bit to small.

Thinking of swapping it out for a SR80.
I.... don't know.

Ill get some new pics up this week

That looks awesome. Funny you said that about upgrading. I had bought a JBJ 45 and after seeing your thread ordered about 50lbs of stax, prime cuts, and shelf from Marcos to put in it. But decided to upgrade to something with a sump before I got started. Currently looking at a Planet Aquarium 65 or 85. Think I’ll just use the JBJ as a permanent QT tank. Thanks for design inspiration. Would love to see more pics if you get a chance or follow along on the upgrade.

Hey @chefjpaul , figured I pop over to see what you were up to with your latest build since you took the time to visit mine.

After looking through, I've determined one thing......
I'm flying you out to Colorado when I do a real display tank to handle the aqua-scaping!
Fantastic visual impact(s)! Can't wait to see it grow out!

Hey,

Sorry in middle of changing jobs etc..

Crazy months.

I'm keeping this tank for a bit, I have some nutrients issues Im stil working on.

A bit of cyano and hair algae, nothing I'm too overly concerned about. As I just beat back dinos for the second tank in a row. I'm positive it transferred over.

Ill get pics this weekend of the soup mess its in.

I did break up that rock and change it a bit, I just still not too happy with it, probably because it's such a small tank.

Got back from a long dive trip in Cozumel area and tank reversed back into the dysfunctional "soup" as I figured it would have.

PO4 bottom out again to zero on ULR
Suprising the NO3 skyrocketed while away.

Started a light phosphorous dosing regiment again, and going to let the mats get a bit fuller before I siphon them out this week.

This one little tank is a battle...[emoji23] [emoji23]
