One more Q about your macro algae. Growing the algae in the first chamber before the filters do you notice a reduced Pod population? Like are they getting trapped in the filters and tossed out? I really like the idea of it but need my pods.

I have multiple pod sections. I have mature live rock with some low light corals in the center chamber and lots of pods. When I pull my socks they are usually plugged and over flowing. I slowly pour the water back into the first chamber. Then I inspect for any pods. The ones I find I throw into the DT. I also have the hang on refugium with the mangroves. I see lots of pods up there. Right now it looks like my sand bed in the DT is moving. Just so many. Mandarin coming this Christmas I hope.

Only have 9 fish in the DT. They aren't putting a hurting on the pod population at all.

My Ying and Yang Anthias picture.

2 males coexisting for now. Top is Lyretail. Bottom is Marcia. They do this every evening under the blues. The Marcia also has an interesting swimming behavior. Shooting straight down then back up. Same time the tail fin goes from pink to red and folds into a dart. I think this is territorial behavior as a warning to back away or there will be a fight. So far they are not inflicting any wounds on each other.

Thanks.

The mother up top looks like the babies do but just with a single highlighter X. The babies have morphed out wicked! The one facing front with 2 mouths makes me drool. Rainbow tentacles too.

Hey friends,

Sorry ive been very busy. I bought a new house and am all moved in now! So the reef has had some changes. When we moved it we said "hey, lets go bare bottom!" So here is my 1 minute video of the new look. Not for everyone but the benifets are pretty huge.

Here is the tank move video. I hired "The Fish Guy" to do this for me. I just had way too much going on and he comes fully equipped for this kind of stuff. Enjoy!

I also have an update from my QT. Three C. Isosceles, 1 C. Lunatus, and 1 C. Rhomboid. 2 pintails and the lunatus are going to a friend down south. Im keeping the biggest pintail and the golden rhomboid for my DT.

I need to come over and check it out. Maybe I will bring the torch colony.
