Ok, I've done so much googling and asking people and even had a dream about it last night, but can't ID this thing.

It's half-a-pencil-eraser-sized, mostly a purple/gray color (similar to a mushroom foot or zoa polyp), with a bit of dark maroon/purple/brown on the frilly bits. I though maybe some little sea slug or nudibranch at first, but it hasn't moved for a couple days. A dying one? Some kind of baby coral? It just sits on the little rock and sways a bit in the flow. Doesn't really do anything when I squirt water on it. Eventually let go of the rock and I put it in a little plastic cup so it wouldn't float away.

Here's some pics from every angle:

And a video:

That was a couple days ago and it is unfortunately shrinking and has pulled some of its frilly bits inside. If it's dead, why haven't CUC members eaten it though? I took it out into the sunlight today to try to get some better pics:

No idea, looks like some sort of sick nudi to me too. Also welcome to the forum!
