Does anyone else have issues with Red Sea 90 leds. Maybe it’s something I’m doing wrong, but my corals don’t seem happy. My zoas are always closed up unless I put them in the corners of the tank on the bottom. I have an amazeball Goni for two months now and I still have it hidden in the corner. Anytime I try to bring it more centered in the tank, it closes up. I just picked up a jaw breaker shroom on Saturday. Today I had to put it some shade because it looked like it was getting ticked. I rented an par meter. The par doesn’t seem high, maybe 120 on the sand. I can’t go any lower because then my sps won’t get 200 par. If I get 200 par 8 inches deep, and get 120 on the sand. I don’t think I can elevate my sps any higher than 8 inch deep. I have a red 250, 55 gallon display.

Keep in mind that every time you move something or change the lighting, things are not going to be happy. Could you list your water parameters?

That sure sounds like it's adjusted too bright. What do you have it set on, Intensity wise? Which par meter did you rent and are you sure of your measurements?

It’s a brand new apogee from brs, I can return it and pay $100 restocking or keep it. I also used in on quarantine tank to measure my $50 Amazon light, and my 50 dollar Amazon light was pumping as much par as my Red Sea 90’s. Im
Running them at 75 percent, but it’s not like i have crazy par. The max par I am getting is 200 in the center 8 inches below the water level.

I am no lighting expert by any means but CHANGE in spectrum can be enough to create an adjustment period. That is why I thought they say any new coral needs to start lower and bring up gradually. Not because of par but because needs to adjust to spectrum change as well. Take this with a grain of salt because like I said I’m not an expert here

The thing about lighting is that we never know what conditions the corals were under before you bought them. They could have been under very low par and then you've put them under triple of what they are used to.

Not saying that's 100 percent the case, but it sure sounds like it. I bought a BTA from Liveaquaria this past year and it refused to come out from under a rock. I had my lights turned to almost nothing.

You just never know. I know by looking at your posts you have a bit of a rough time and some challenges. It takes time for the system to become adjusted.

Zoas and LPS do well in 50 to 150 par. Yours might be used to lower and just need time to adjust.
