Hi i am relatively new to this hobby with about 2 years experience, i have had varied success with keeping fish, i was wondering how often will you lose a fish, and as the system matures my guess is you'll lose less fish

(For context - i have a system that's about 4 month old set up exactly how my lfs would do it and i just had my first fish of this tank die about 1 month after adding it)

One fish in four months i would not stress. One fish every four months is an issue.
Thanks for your advice can you see if this is whitespot on this fishes gills? Eating very well still no other signs etc, is it worth putting her into the hospital tank and treating?
