Do you have one membrane housing or 2? Biggest I see is a 200gpd membrane that will fit the standard housing.
If you are going to replace the membrane go with the biggest output you can.
These are on sale.. 96-98% rejection. I prefer 98% or higher but this would be an inexpensive way to go bigger..

I guess i could buy a pair of those and see if they fit. THe input pressure is decent at 70 psi.

They will fit the standard 2"x12" filter housing

Will double your output if you are using two 100gpd membranes. You may also need to change your flow restrictor since you are changing membrane output. I would ask them when you order the two membranes.

This looks interesting 'cept it has too many stages - i only need 1 di and 0 carbon stages though i could tolerate 1 carbon stage. All those extra stages add too much cost and my tap water is 120 tds.

Why don't you need a carbon stage?

Yea they will brs had wrong specs so the guy remeasured. Also they sell a 150 gpd membrane - not sure if ami is better/worse/same as dupont (dow). Price point is similar.

The Gapper units have been very popular with the reefing crowd
Yea i can go with that if nothing else - it is $1100 and i would have to add a di layer at the end.

BUt how would one add a di stage and what sort of switch would i need for float. I currently have a 500 gallon non-pressure storage tank and i use standard float valvue in it. There is a well pump at the bottom of it to provide pump water into pipes. I would want to add it in line as easy as possible to the existing system:

tap water -> carbon block -> ro system -> container -> pump to pipes
the space for the current ro system is rather small and the container is near it and very heavy - you use extra long canisters so in theory the unit is not that long just tall which is fine but of course you have no di stage (and for me) two wasteful carbon stages. I can of course leave the carbon stages empty but add in a di stage would be nice.

Of course we would also need to do a bunch of up/down on the tubing since you use larger tubing than the current brs 200 gpd unit.

I sent them an email will see what they say - also i kind of prefer not too much waste water. The best system i see is 1:1 and of course the worse is 1:4. Do you know your ratio ?
You could plagiarize. I have a zero waste system it uses the water heater and a booster pump. You could use any vessel and just figure out how to get the volume

I ended up going with this system:

I think the buckeye system mentioned above is interesting because it uses the larger canisters but it is 3x more expensive and also doesn't have di and has extra carbon. Everyone wants to throw carbon at things i just want di.
--
I do realize the buckeye system will likely last longer between membrane changes but i'm tired. If i was less tired i think i would buy some water jars and membrane and put them together. Right now i just want more ro water so i can do water changes. The 600gpd system quoted above should last 18 months without needing to change membrane and i can think about a better solution or buy a new ro membrane in 18 months. Thanks all.
