Well, my decision journey isn't over. Copying this from the thread on the forum lol's as it is all part of my process.

I'll be contacting @AlgaeBarn for more info on the cade. There isn't a lot of difference in the main features.

RS-- 210 display, 265 total 55 gal sump no ato 82x25x60, no control cabinet but a duel sump
Cade--234 display, 282 total 48 gal sump 32g ato 82x29 (25) x25 Has control cabinet and dry area of cabinet

I don't know cabinet specs like materials for the Cade. Red Sea looks strong and sturdy but they did have those fails.

I'm emailing the fish guy tonight so I'll see what he says about the Cade. If he can't get them, that will answer my question as I want them to do the set up. I'm also going to go to another lfs I know has the tanks on display (I hope-they do not have a phone number as they are too busy!). The place I'll use doesn't have them on display-strictly fish and corals.

Man, I thought I had this all figured out lol's. And yeah, I'll also pm joe lol's. Trouble there, is if I can still get my lfs to do the set up if they don't order the tank/stand.

Well, all part of the journey, right
For two years I thought I had it figured out. Each time I thought that, I realized I didn't (have it figured out). LOL Finally I did (after suffering tank decision paralysis a few times). Haha. I finally got my tank up and running about a month ago although it's only a 5g. Haha. I will be following along with keen interest to see what you decide. It's a pain that the pandemic seems to have limited some buying options on a lot of reef related items!!

Hey, I remember you!!! Would love to meet up someday!!! Have some free white tipped leather corals lol's. No leathers in the new build. I use Aquatic Collection in Hayward. They've always been a good store and they are doing my new tank delivery and some of the set up. And a manifold. They are about as close as anyone and have a great coral selection and fish.

I sold the max 250 when I set up the 125. Now I will sell the 125 when I'm all set up.

Wish there was a fish club in our area!!
Thanks Susan. I have been there a couple of times. Kind of a grind from Modesto though. Good luck on this new build. I'm following along. A good club would be great!

Not much progress now. Installed all my apps for equipment and hooked up all equipment to the apps. Just plugged in long enough for the apps to find the items. Next step is to plan controller board and learn apex. I'll start by assigning plugs to the power bar.. going on a trip in a week, so will use that travel time to learn apex stuff.

oh, need to spend some time cleaning house from all this moving of stuff! lol's.

going to post my new corals here as they hopefully will survive to go into the new tank!!! I'm concerned with the orange pavona. Lowered it a bit more. It doesn't seem to come out very much. The green pavona is doing fantastically. Nice and furry looking. Duncan has a new head and galaxea seems fuller. Just not sure on the orange. If it doesn't come out more tomorrow, may lower it even more

So the pavonas are doing great I think. Green one has lots of stingers out at night. Orange is out more. Seems to like sandbed best. Duncan looking good and Galaxea seems good as well. No stingers yet.

Need to go google and see if this is what this pavona should look like, or if it is not quite normal yet

Right side looking at this green pavona, there are lots of stingers out

Update #1-4 more new corals
Frogspawn, Meat coral??, Alveopora, acans of some sort? In the 125g of course until I get the new tank. Hoping I can keep them not only alive but thriving. Picked up an apex par meter so I can see what light they like and duplicate it. Now to figure out how to use it...

The copper piping is before the RO unit so hope it is okay. The pvc cement is that purple stuff used to put pvc together?

no purple is the primer, the cement is usually clear or blue.

yes,if you let dry 3 hrs before adding water ,would be completely dry/absorbed or evaporated.
the glue if was not let to dry ,would dry and float as soon as water hit it ,but as said if time before wet, should have no worries... :)

No, they have to be slid out for removal. The guide that they slide in on has a lip on each side that holds the socks in-place in the tray.
I purchased 4 of the red sea media cups. All I have to do now is pull out old poly fill floss and put a hand full of floss in twice a week. Polishes the water fantastic, plus not wasting time hosing off and washing the socks. The sliding out into the refugium was a bit of a hassle due to all of the wires in there for the heater, 2 lights for chaeto, powerhead and ceramic media. Life is better not having to wash filter socks

Cool. Might go that route
. Right now planning to put carbon bags/purigen and floss in the media bags. Got a bunch of socks on sale at Marine depot before they were bought out.

He didn't let dry and it had 30 gal water in it so we'll be safe and dump that water and wipe out the inside.

More progress on water station. 2 hose connectors added. Going to use a drinking water safe hose for any water changes or if I have to dump water or fill containers.

Hubby also decided we needed to have a grounded outlet there so he used his machine shop to fashion a custom box. I ordered a power strip with switches so I can switch off pumps or powerheads/heaters etc.

Next is to figure out a pole system to mount powerheads and heater so I can just pull up and out. Need to check how much head room there is to see if feasible. Otherwise magnet mount powerheads
